Prayer for children
Let’s us begin with the story of a man named Samson (Judges 13-16). He was definitely a gift from God. A gift with a purpose to end the oppression of the Israelites from the Philistines. His parents did everything right. The obeyed the all instructions from the angel and after Samson was born, I’m assuming they tried their best in bringing him up in the way of God. So what went wrong. The first thing I noticed was that Samson had a massive weakness- women. He had tested his first in-laws with a riddle they could never get correctly. But his wife cried and cried until he divulged the answer to the riddle. On this occasion, he dodged a bullet because his in-laws didn’t want his life in return.
Chapter 16 describes how Samson went to Gaza to find a prostitute. Let’s pause there for a bit. Gaza is over 6000km from Israel. This means he completely went out of his way to defile himself.

(NAME) YOU WILL NOT GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO DEFILE YOURSELF
YOU WILL NOT GO OUT YOUR WAY TO DEFILE YOUR DESTINY
SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, DEACTIVATE ANY WEAKNESS THAT WILL COST MY CHILDREN THEIR PURPOSE IN JESUS NAME

Afterwards, Samson met with Delilah, the bible says he fell in love with her. As soon as the governors discovered his weakness, they came to Delilah and asked her to extract the secret of his strength.
“Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times and have not told me where your great strength lies.” When she pressured him day after day with her words and pleaded with him, he was annoyed to death. Then [finally] he told her everything that was in his heart and said to her, “A razor has never been used on my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If I am shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I will become weak and be like any [other] man.” Then Delilah realized that he had told her everything in his heart, so she sent and called for the Philistine lords, saying, “Come up this once, because he has told me everything in his heart.” Then the Philistine lords came up to her and brought the money [they had promised] in their hands. She made Samson sleep on her knees, and she called a man and had him shave off the seven braids of his head. Then she began to abuse Samson, and his strength left him. She said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke from his sleep and said, “I will go out as I have time after time and shake myself free.” For Samson did not know that the LORD had departed from him. Then the Philistines seized him and gouged out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza and bound him with [two] bronze chains; and he was forced to be a grinder [of grain into flour at the mill] in the prison.” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭16:15-21‬ ‭AMP

What baffled me is that the first time Delilah asked, the philistines came to attack him, the second time, the philistines tried to kill him. The third time, they still tried to kill him. So what made him divulge the truth the 4th time? Did he think anything different would happen? As I pondered on this, the Holy Spirit said to me, He took the Grace of God for granted.
No matter how much we pray here tonight, the most important prayer is for our children never to take the Grace of God for granted. It is very costly.

NAME, YOU WILL NEVER TAKE THE GRACE OF GOD FOR GRANTED.
YOU WILL NOT TRADE THE GRACE OF GOD DOR THE PLEASURES OF THE WORLD IJN.
MAY THE GRACE OF GOD NEVER DEPART FROM MY CHILDREN.
MAY THE ENEMY NEVER USE MY CHILDREN’S MISTAKES TO GAIN LEVERAGE OVER THEM IJN.

“And the [Babylonian] king told Ashpenaz, the chief of his officials, to bring in some of the sons of Israel, including some from the royal family and from the nobles, young men without blemish and handsome in appearance, skillful in all wisdom, endowed with intelligence and discernment, and quick to understand, competent to stand [in the presence of the king] and able to serve in the king’s palace. He also ordered Ashpenaz to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭AMPSometimes, the enemy deceives us into thinking that our children cannot have perfectly outstanding traits. But from this scripture, we se what the King requested and if we read further, we see that he got not one, not two, not three but at least 4 men who possessed these traits.

NAME, YOU ARE WITHOUT BLEMISH ( unprofitable marks)
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL/ HANDSOME IN APPEARANCE ( I always prayed like this when I was pregnant and God answered me)
YOU ARE SKILFUL IN ALL WISDOM ( creative and academically sound)
YOU ARE ENDOWED WITH INTELLIGENCE AND DISCERNMENT
YOU ARE QUICK TO UNDERSTAND AND COMPETENT TO STAND IN THE PRESENCE OF KINGS IN JESUS NAME.

“The king assigned a daily ration for them from his finest food and from the wine which he drank. They were to be educated and nourished this way for three years so that at the end of that time they were [prepared] to enter the king’s service.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬ https://www.bible.com/1588/dan.1.5.ampThey were to be educated for 3 years, so that they were prepared to enter the kings palace. A level of education is required for our children to be where we pray for them to be. Look at apostle Paul, a disciple like no other. His presence always commanded attention. He was well learned, a player. Yes, God’s Grace and favour is sufficient but the education they receive will help build sustenance.

YOU WILL ATTEND THE BEST SCHOOLS AND DILIGENT IN YOUR STUDIES.
YOU ARE NOT A SCHOOL DROP OUT, YOU WILL FINISH WELL IN JESUS NAME.
THE GREATEST SCHOOLS WILL BECKON FOR YOU IN JESUS NAME.

“At the end of the time set by the king to bring all the young men in [before him], the commander of the officials presented them to Nebuchadnezzar. The king spoke with them, and among them all not one was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; so they were [selected and] assigned to stand before the king and enter his personal service. In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the [learned] magicians and enchanters (Magi) in his whole realm.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1:18-20‬
As we read further into the scripture, we see that Daniel, shadrack, Mashack and Abednigo were a click. Always in each other’s company. And they all eventually grew to have high appointments in the in the nation. See chapter 2.

MY SEED WILL NEVER CEASE TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF GREATNESS IN JESUS NAME
EXTRACT MY CHILDREN FROM EVERY COMPANY / RELATIONSHIP THAT WILL DIMINISH THEIR RELEVANCE IJN

The king found Daniel and his friends 10 times better than the tenured professionals in the land. As I love to use when when praying with this scripture, I stand in the place of Elisha when he asked for a double portion of Elijah’s power. Elijah said it was hard but Elisha would have it if he saw him being taken away by the angels of God. In other words, if he was an eye witness of the glor of God. We are in the presence of God’s glory tonight and so we declare a double portion and declare

NAME, YOU ARE 20 TIMES BETTER THAN THE PROFESSIONALS IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY, THEIR PEERS AND EVEN THOSE IN HIGHER CLASSES IN JESUS NAME.

“Then this Daniel, because of the extraordinary spirit within him, began distinguishing himself among the commissioners and the satraps, and the king planned to appoint him over the entire realm.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

OH LORD, IMPART AN EXTRAORDINARY SPIRIT OVER MY CHILDREN IN JESUS NAME

OH LORD, BEGIN TO DISTINGUISH MY CHILDREN FOR GREATNESS FROM NOW ON IN JESUS NAME

“Then the [other two] commissioners and the satraps began trying to find a reason to bring a complaint against Daniel concerning the [administration of the] kingdom; but they could find no reason for an accusation or evidence of corruption, because he was faithful [a man of high moral character and personal integrity], and no negligence or corruption [of any kind] was found in him.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬This bible passage reminds me of the scripture: No weapon fashioned against me will prosper. It will be ignorant to think that the devil is happy or will be happy with the success of our children. It’s time to take a stand

EVERY EFFORT TO FRUSTRATE MY CHILDREN’s SUCCESS WILL BE ABORTED IN JESUS NAME.
THERE SHALL BE NO ACCUSATION OR EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION BROUGHT AGAINST MY CHILDREN IN JESUS NAME.
MY CHILDREN POSESS HIGH MORAL CHARACTER AND INTEGRITY IN JESUS NAME.
MY CHILDREN ARE DEFINED BY THE EXCELLENT SPIRIT OF GOD IN JESUS NAME.

“For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:29‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In every home with children, there is a ‘first born’. In every home where the presence of God is evident, there is a first born or first born s that are not necessarily the first fruits of the womb. For example, Isaac was spiritually Abraham’s first born because he was the covenant child of promise. Jacob became Issac’s first broom because of the prophetic message Rebecca received when she was pregnant. Joseph received the blessing of the first born because he was the child conceived from genuine love. Ephriam received the blessing of the first born from his grand father, Jacob because Jacob adopted him to become his son and not his grandson. Hence why Ephriam is part of the 12 tribes of Israel.
From the above, we see that the blessings of the ‘first born’ is not biological. It is about Covenant, promise and the love of God. So it is imperative that when we pray for our children, we ask for the blessings of the ‘first born’ to be their portion.
“Instead he shall acknowledge the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he was the beginning of his strength (generative power); to him belongs the right of the firstborn.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I DECLARE THE BLESSINGS AND THE ANOINTING OF THE FIRST BORN OVER MY CHILDREN
THEY SHALL RECEIVE A DOUBLE PORTION OF THEIR ALLOTTED INHERITANCE IJN
MY CHILDREN ARE THE MOST BELOVED AND HONOURED IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

Ikr started with Sarah, then Rebecca, the. Racheal, All the wives of Abraham and his descendants encountered delays having children. Likewise Abraham had to lie about Sarah being his wife, Isaac did the same, Jacob took his lying to another level by pretending to be his brother..Exam yourself for a minute, every delays that you may have encountered, every traits that you don’t want to be passed over to your children answered generation. Then examine the same on their dad’s lineage.

I RENOUNCE AND NEGATIVE GENERATIONAL PATTERN OVER MY CHILDREN
NO GENERATIONAL CAUSE OR DELAYS WILL BE CARRIED OVER TO MY CHILDREN IN JESUS NAME (whosoever is born of God is a new creation, old things have passed away, all things have become new)
WHEN IT IS TIME FOR MY CHILDREN TO BECOME MOTHERS, FATHERS, WIVES, HUSBANDS, CEO’s, Etc. THEY WILL NOT BE FOUND WANTING IN JESUS NAME..

“For you shall eat the fruit of [the labor of] your hands, You will be happy and blessed and it will be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within the innermost part of your house; Your children will be like olive plants Around your table.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭128:2-3

I, NO ONE ESLE ,WILL EAT THE FRUIT OF MY LABOUR OVER MY CHILDREN JOYFULLY AND IT SHALL BE WELL WITH ME
MY CHILDREN SHALL BE LIKE OLIVE PLANTS AROUND MY TABL

“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days will I fulfil.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:26‬ ‭DARBY‬‬

NO MATTER HOW LONG I LIVE ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH, I SHALL NOT BURY ANY OF MY CHILDREN
I WILL BE THEIR MOTHER TILL I AM A RIPE OLD AGE. I WILL BE GRANDPARENTS TO THEIR CHILDREN SO SHALL THEY BE TO THEIR GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN IN JESUS NAME.

“Do not let your heart envy sinners [who live godless lives and have no hope of salvation], But [continue to] live in the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the LORD day by day.”‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

MY CHILDREN WILL NOT ENVY THE LIFESTYLE OF THE UNGODLY, NEITHER WILL THEY BE LURED BY THEM IJN
MY CHILDREN WILL BE GUARDED BY THE FEAR OF GOD EVERY SINGLE DAY IN JESUS NAME.

“So it happened, when they had come, he looked at Eliab [the eldest son] and thought, “Surely the LORD ’ S anointed is before Him.” But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass before Samuel. But Samuel said, “The LORD has not chosen this one either.”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭16:6-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬
